We are getting ready for an evening that will take place on Tuesday, January 11, in memory of Orhan Veli, the pioneer of the democratic revolution in Turkish poetry. "Orhan Veli's fight is the biggest fight in our literature." said Cemal Süreya. We met with five different artists inspired by this fight and planned a pop-up exhibition, speech, short film screening and concert!

* The paintings in the exhibition were produced for the Orhan Veli "There Will Be a Day" poetry book, which will be published in 2022 by Yapı Kredi Publications. The exhibition can only be seen on January 11 and 12.

Ayse Inan @ayseinanillustration
Ayse Inan (Ankara, 1972) Graduated from Hacettepe University Graphics Department (1994). She worked on cartoons, illustrations and graphic designs in many newspapers, magazines and publishing houses. She participated in group exhibitions at home and abroad. She continues to work independently as a children's book illustrator and continues to be published in many languages.
Mahmut Temizyurek
He was born in Sivas, Sarkisla, Kümbet Village. (1955). He worked as a worker, editor, journalist, consultant and teacher.
Mine Tezgiden
Due to her interest in cinema, besides reading and watching, she attended in seminars and workshops, shot short films and took part in different projects. She joined the team of Sekans Cinema Culture Magazine, and did interviews, wrote analysis and critic pieces. She continues to write the script of a movie about Orhan Veli.
Kayahan Kaya - @kayahankaya
He was born in 1980, Ankara, Turkey. Studied Graphic Design. He prepares program credits and various animations for television. Police After Me is his first animated film.
Akapum - @akapum
Akapum is the name Evren has been using since 2018, while playing and singing in various punk rock bands in the late 90s and early 2000s. Akapum, who sometimes performs with his band and mostly solo, plays his own compositions and also interprets folk rock, country and punk rock classics.
