Look What I’ve Brought You continues with Ali Saltan’s Documentary Selection! Ali Saltan, a photographer who studies the subjects of border, identity and migration in the context of political and cultural geography, subcultures, urban memory, surplus and gentrification, will interpret the books listed below, while these books will be waiting for you on the table. The event is free, open to the public, and no booking is required.
With the beginning of the ‘Look What I’ve Brought You’ events which started in 2013, many artists, editors, and publishers with different perspectives have chosen books for Ka’s library and have told the audience about these books. Each book is waiting for you at Ka’s library! The library is open to visitors with membership to maintain the event. Simply subscribe to the Library option for $5 per month through Ka's Patreon account.

Ali Saltan (1982). He is particularly interested in the issues related to border, identity, and immigration in the context of political and cultural geography, subcultures, urban memory, surplus, and gentrification. He studied Sociology at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul, and received his MA in Gender and Women’s Studies from Ankara University in 2010. He worked as an instructor in various photography-related courses at Başkent University and Ankara University between 2010 and 2018. Also, he worked as an editor, visual consultant, sociologist and media director for a multitude of platforms. Currently, he works on commissioned photography and video projects for several NGOs. He lives and works in between Çanakkale and Ankara, and is an affiliate of PLATFORM by GAPO.
