"Since the 1990s, Queer theory has led to the spread of a system of thought that today leads people to demand the right to have a say about their own bodies, to demand the freedom of self-expression, affirmation, and reflection to depend on their individual initiative. (...) In recent years, we can observe that queer understanding has started to become a trend or a photographic language, (...) as a result of the struggle for visibility of LGBTI+ individuals." -Elçin Acun

“Look What I’ve Brought You” continues with the Queer Selection of Elçin Acun and Yasemin Kalaycı, consisting of the photographic reflections of the bodies that are now slowly emerging from the shadows. The Look What I’ve Brought You events started in 2013 to follow the new developments in the world of photography books. Many artists, editors, and publishers with different perspectives chose books for Ka’s library and told the audience about the books they chose. Each book is now in our library, waiting for you to get lost in its pages. In order to continue this event and the books to be preserved for many more years, the library is open to visitors on the condition of membership. To do this, simply subscribe to the Library option for $5 per month through Ka's Patreon account.

Located in Kadıköy/Istanbul, KOLİ Art Space is a non-profit, independent work, production and exhibition space founded by Yasemin Kalaycı and Elçin Acun. KOLI, circulating on the axis of artistic experience and cooperation, exists with the support of the dialogue between feminist and queer artists. Acun lives and works in Istanbul.

Yasemin Kalaycı completed her undergraduate education at Kocaeli University, Department of Photography. Working in Istanbul, the artist produces conceptual art projects and participates in exhibitions by making use of practices such as photography, video, digital art, and installation.
