"Womanhood and Sustainability" Project >>
"Womanhood & Sustainability" operates from a clear standpoint: the female perspective of the urgent issue of sustainability. For the cultural project, Swiss artists Talaya Schmid, Aglaia Haritz and Patricia Jacomella will join artists Gözde Ilkin, SENA and Ecem Yerman in Ankara from 13 February 2022, in an artistic exchange and production process to generate works for an exhibition at Cermodern Art Hall, which will open on 8 March 2022, International Women's Day. The project will last until mid-April and include a wide variety of side events in Ankara
and Istanbul.
In this intercultural dialogue of feminist artists from different generations, the following questions will be explored: What can women and art do for a more just and sustainable future? How can all that which has been separated up to now - nature and culture, individual
and community, different disciplines of knowledge, rationality and other forms of consciousness - be brought together again? How can new connections and networks be
created through artistic projects?
