Peter Paul Rubens was a Flemish artist and diplomat who lived during the Dutch Golden Age. He is considered the most influential artist of the Flemish Baroque tradition. Rubens' compositions refer to classical and Christian history. His works on mythological and allegorical subjects give a real insight into the concerns and climate of his times.

Reading the Artist event aims to give a more holistic look at what artists produce. Selected artists are not judged solely by their work; Instead, we “read” them by considering their writings, drawings, and all the details about their lives, and also regarding the conditions of the period while they created their artistic works.

Gökhun Baltacı was born in 1989 in Ankara. In 2013, he completed Hacettepe University Fine Arts Institute Painting Department Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs (2019). The artist, who takes part in solo and group exhibitions with his works, continues to produce in his personal workshop in Ankara.
Kazım Şimşek was born in 1987 in Ankara. Hacettepe University Fine Arts Faculty Sculpture Department (2006-2007) Hacettepe University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department (2007-2012) Hacettepe University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department-Master's Degree (2016). Kazım Şimşek, whose works have been exhibited in many group exhibitions, defines his discourse and contemporary art practice through the issue of class. His first personal exhibition, Moral, met with the audience at Evliyagil Dolapdere in Istanbul between 10.02.-27.03.2022.
