The event, which was previously held as Reading the Photographer for many years, is expanding and now continues under the title of Reading the Artist with the 2021-2022 season. The first event will be held on Nazım Hikmet by Mahmut Temizyürek, moderated by Erdem Çolak. The talk will be held in Turkish without translation, but the video recordings with English subtitles will be available soon.

Reading the Artist event aims to give a more holistic look at what artists produce. Selected artists are not judged solely by their work; instead, we “read” them by considering their writings, drawings, and all the details about their lives, and also regarding the conditions of the period while they created their artistic works.
