Time, Memory and Reality

Alain Resnais, who put the concept of memory on the table with his first feature film “Hiroshima Mon Amour” (1959), which made an impression in the world of cinema, continues to test the boundaries with “Last Year in Marienbad” (1961). A puzzle that is still debated today as to whether it is a masterpiece of modern cinema or a hollow, meaningless experiment. Based on a screenplay by Alain Robbe-Grillet, the pioneer of the New Novel movement, the film takes us through the complex corridors of the human mind and invites us to play a thought-provoking game about time, memory and reality. We ask you to take a journey through the labyrinth of mysterious dreams by falling under the spell of this alluring movie.
