Hülya Özdemir
She graduated from Marmara University’s Painting department and had her master's degree with her thesis entitled "A study for Re-evaluation of Video Art in Turkey Within the Framework of Videoist since 2000's up to date" in Düzce University Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Painting.
Hülya Özdemir's artworks explore the disappearing, dissolving, and multiplying nature of the image. She tries to re-establish and discover memory, based on time and space. She focuses on layers, backgrounds, and sounds of the modes of production. Her artworks took place both abroad and in Turkey.
Hülya Özdemir is the founder and manager of Videoist Video Art Initiative together with Ferhat Satıcı since 2003.
Özdemir took part in the organizational team of the 6th Çanakkale and 3rd Mardin Biennials and co-curated them. They continue to explore the place of video art in contemporary art production through their activities in accordance with the transformational nature of the video. She took part as a selective jury member in the 1st "Open Call for Video Art Productions" organized by Bilsart Istanbul.

Ferhat Satıcı
Born in 1973 in Yalova, Ferhat Satıcı completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees at Marmara University in Istanbul. Currently, he works as a faculty member at the Art Design and Architecture Faculty, Department of Sculpture, Düzce University. In his works, Satıcı uses different forms such as sculpture, video, photography, installation, and painting. He produces works aimed at blurring the boundaries between the monumental and the everyday. He examines the relationship of the image with affective forces based on movement and duration. With his colleague Hülya Özdemir, he is the co-founder and executive of the Videoist video art Initiative, established in 2003. This initiative continued its activities in Mardin between 2013-2016. As co-curator, Satıcı organized the 6th Çanakkale Biennial and the 3rd Mardin Biennial. He has worked both as a writer for and as a member of editorial boards of various books and magazines. He has realized many personal and group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad.

Videoist is the name of the duo that has been producing video works and events since the late 90s in an effort to establish a video art institute. They have been organizing exhibitions, screenings, presentations, workshops, lectures as well as touring exhibitions since 2003 for establishing a video memory. They took the examples of video art in their archives and selections together with their own artworks to the events in many different locations such as Istanbul, Mardin, Diyarbakir, Izmir, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, and Ankara within Turkey and also abroad cities like Munich, Kiel, Herford and Giessen in Germany, Huarte in Spain, Sofia in Bulgaria, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and Vejle in Denmark.
